“That’s not true. In fact, we know that we will always have at least two people watching – si Kuya, at yung security guard na nakaduty para magbantay ng mga tumatae sa swimming pool. Bawal kasi yun. Sinisiraan lang kami ng kabilang istasyon. ” Herbert Isla, Pinoy Big Brother spokesperson replied to Agila, in response to allegations that nobody is watching PBB anymore.
Pinoy Big Brother is a gameshow that started its run 10 years ago, back when people still cared about what’s happening on TV because mobile internet was not so good yet. It is still currently running on air, contrary to the beliefs of people who’ve just given up the allure of watching the Milgram experiment repeated over and over for entertainment.
Over the years the show has diminished in ratings, and in perceived quality. And it seems nobody knows what’s happening even those who are “in the loop”.
Mang Tony, a known steamed mais vendor who frequents Mother Ignacia street insists that there’s no more show being done on the PBB House.
When Agila News asked PBB go-to-guy Direk Lauren Dyogi of what he thought about the reports of diminishing ratings he replied “Ha? Seryoso?
As of writing Pinoy Big Brother 737’s weekly ratings is currently in between PTV4’s Mag-Agri Tayo and IBC13’s STV: Ang Sabong TV ng Bayan.
